Hair care with oils

June 5, 2017

You know what the key is for growing long, healthy hair? Patience. I know, not exactly a satisfying answer. Luckily there are certain tips and tricks that we can use to help speed up the process. Along with cutting off those split ends (the more there are the slower the growth), we can use certain oils to nourish the scalp & hair. After using these treatments you will be saying hello to healthy, beautiful hair!

Coconut Oil

Advantages

Coconut Oil is a very popular commodity in coastal regions. This oil is abundant in minerals and vitamins which is not only good for the hair, but also for the whole body. All hair (especially damaged hair) has a tendency to lose protein. However, coconut oil is loaded with lauric acid which can easily pass through the hair shaft and reduce the loss of hair. This oil is unable to evaporate thus allowing the hair to remain moisturized, and more importantly, allow less breakage to happen. Also, it’s potent moisturizing effects prevents dandruff and dry scalp from appearing.

 Argan Oil

Advantages

Argan oil is a golden potion sent from the Moroccan Tree. Not only is it beneficial for your hair, it smells amazing as well! This oil contains a bounty of vitamin E which assists cells in hair growth. This treatment is commonly known for it’s moisturizing components. It makes hair easier to control by subduing frizz and increasing shine.

Castor Oil

Advantages

Along with being high in vitamin E and other minerals (similar to the other oils), it is distinguishable by it’s antibacterial properties. This unique characteristic cleans the scalp from dandruff and infection. Castor oil is also rich in ricinoleic acid which boosts blood circulation to the scalp, thus resulting in hair growth. Abrasive chemicals to the hair can cause damage but castor oil can reverse some of the negative effects. The acid balances the pH in the scalp which restores the natural oil back.

Almond Oil

Advantages

STOP. Your hassle to find the perfect hair treatment has now ended. Almond oil is filled with so many fatty acids and proteins thus making it manageable for all hair types. These properties can repair dull hair so it can turn lustrous again. The components of the oil  nourish the hair while providing increased hair growth. Split ends are delayed while using this as it replenishes the moisture longer.
